A team of Egyptian entrepreneurs announced the launch of the beta version of Mr.Road, the first comprehensive mobility platform in Egypt, designed to facilitate daily trips and make them faster, more convenient, and more flexible.

The app bears the slogan: “Mr. Road – Anywhere, with you on the track!” It combines various public and private transportation methods in Egypt, including the metro, buses, microbuses, and private car trips, providing users with all options on one platform.

Key features of Mr. Road:

Smart trip planning: Choosing the fastest routes by combining the metro, bus, LRT, walking, and more.
Estimate the cost of your trip before you set off.
Smart Alerts: Instant notifications when you’re near a stop to ensure you don’t miss a stop.
Comprehensive Interactive Map: Explore public transit routes with the ability to download maps (PDF) and use them offline.
Flexible User Experience: Simple design, full support for both Arabic and English languages, day and night mode, and home screen widgets and favorites.

Ahmed Fawzy, co-founder of Mr. Road, emphasized that this beta version is just the beginning. The team plans to add more features and expand coverage in future updates, making the app the ideal daily commuter companion in Egypt.

Fawzy added, “Our goal is to put all transportation options in the user’s pocket, making their daily commute easier, cheaper, and less time-consuming.”
